Robinson Head is the premier warm-up for the Lent bumps, open to all college eights.
The race runs over the Bumps course from a rolling start at the Bumps Headship Station to a bow finish at Peter’s Post. This offers crews the last opportunity to race the bumps course uninterrupted before the getting-on race and bumps.
M3 continue to make rapid progress, rowing over in a time of 9:30, an improvement of almost half a minute from Newnham Short Course, over the slightly longer distance of Robinson Head. For the first time, M3 raced in the Sir John, which challenged the crew to focus on their balance, which has in the past been a weakness, but come race day, the crew had a very strong technical row that demonstrates the clear improvements being made in the boat.
