Word From The Captain

First of all I'd like to thank Phil Ewels and Sophie Machin for all the hard work they did as captains last year. I would also like to congratulate the W2 crew who won blades in the mays, a fantastic achievement. I hope Ben Goodwill and I can build on the successes from last year and lead the club onwards and upwards.
Now is an exciting time to be part of THBC, with plans being put in place to help take us back up the bumps charts to where we belong. The senior crews have made a promising start to the year and have already been back in Cambridge for a while, training hard. With plenty of returning rowers to choose from and some very promising new faces I'm very excited for the year ahead.
Rowing didn't stop over the summer either, with 3 IV's and a double racing at Peterborough summer regatta where several rowers succeeded in losing their novice status. There was also a training camp in Temple sur Lot, kindly organised by Dr Walter Scott. With enthusiastic rowers and the support of both college and alumni, I have a good feeling that this is the beginning of THBC's climb back up the bumps charts to where we belong.
