Word From The Captain

The new term has begun and THBC is back on the Cam. We’ve dusted off the cobwebs and got back on the water, enjoying the beautiful weather and the empty river. A large group of senior rowers and coxes have returned to training, with enthusiasm and commitment that sets the club up well for the coming year. Indeed, this year promises to be very exciting for THBC, most notably with the redevelopment of the boathouse firmly underway. Martin’s new workshop is taking shape and we hope to soon be accommodated in shiny new facilities.

This term we are looking forward to our first 25-hour ergothon, raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young and in support of the boathouse redevelopment (details to follow!). We are also looking forward to an influx of keen novices. If you are coming up to Trinity Hall this term, or are already here and fancy having a go at rowing/coxing, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the contacts page. We’d love to hear from you, whether you are a complete novice or an experienced rower or cox. We are also always on the lookout for new coaches, so if you’re based in Cambridge and would be interested in coaching the Hall, please do get in contact.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the coaches that have helped THBC over the last year – we’re really grateful for all of your time and effort. I would also like to thank Livi and Mark for the hard work that they put into the club over the past year. Charles, Jamie and I hope to build on their successes as we move forward into the new year.

Row Hall!
